Fluke is a group of dedicated young people aged 12-25 years old who organise events for their peers in Geelong and surrounding areas including along the Waterfront and the Youth Activities Area.

Fluke run regular activities to help increase youth participation, build positive relationships with regular users of various spaces, and participate in activities along the Waterfront and in Central Geelong for young people.

Young people in Fluke are volunteers and meet to plan, and organise all aspects of the event. They do all tasks from booking and promotions, to risk management.

On the event day, Fluke members are there from bump in to bump out, running everything.

Fluke run youth focused activities in Little Malop Central. Past events that Fluke have run in Little Malop Central include Aerosol Art workshops, joint youth services afternoons, bungee runs, rock climbing walls, movie nights and video gaming afternoons.

Fluke aims to provide opportunities for young people to improve their skills, organise events, make a difference, create change and help others. In doing this Fluke improves the image of young people and increases social connection between young people and adults.

Membership to the Fluke committee is limited, and comes up occasionally through the year, contact us to find out more.
