NOTICE OF INTENTION TO SELL LAND

Section 189 Local Government Act 1989

The City of Greater Geelong proposes to sell 83 Ryrie Street, Geelong (Old Post Office) being land of area 1300m2 described in Volume 10280 Folio 676. It is intended to offer the former Post Office for sale by a public process.

In accordance with section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989 ('the Act') any person wishing to make a submission on the proposed sale of the Old Post Office may do so in writing not later than Monday 25 June 2018.  

Any person making a submission is entitled to request in the submission that the person wishes to appear in person, or to be represented by a person to be specified in the submission, at a meeting to be heard in support of the submission.

Any persons making a submission and wishing to be heard either personally or by a specified representative will be given that opportunity before a meeting of the Submissions Review Panel to be held at a time and location to be advised.

All submissions will be considered in accordance with section 223 of the Act.  Submitters should note that submissions are made available for public inspection upon request.
