City of Greater Geelong Food Policy Survey

This engagement is open

Food affects all of us in the City of Greater Geelong in many different ways. It influences our health and wellbeing, it shapes our environment, it is central to our interactions in families and communities and it is a vital part of our local economy.

The City of Greater Geelong is creating its first food policy. This is an opportunity to begin a broad public conversation about what we value about food and how we can build a stronger food system for the future. Now is the time to have your say about how you would like to see this food policy develop.

Food is everyone’s business, so we’d like to hear what you think is important for the City of Greater Geelong’s Food Policy. We have prepared a Food Policy Discussion Paper to provide you with some background across six themes which are being considered:

- Food and Health
- Food safety
- Food security
- Food and the environment
- Food and the local economy
- Food and Culture

The discussion paper is the beginning of a conversation with the broader community about food in Greater Geelong.

As a community member, we would like to invite you to complete this survey and give you the opportunity to have your say.
