Volunteering is integral to our operations and makes an invaluable contribution to our organisation and the community that we serve.
Thousands of people in Australia volunteer for numerous reasons including an interest in the organisation they volunteer with, to give something back to the community in which they live, or for social benefits. Whatever your reason to volunteer, the City of Greater Geelong has a variety of options that may be of interest to you.
To join our volunteer team, first explore our volunteer options. A brief summary of each area is provided below, with a link to further information and the position description for each volunteer area.
When you have found the area that interests you, please complete our online application form.
The City adopts the definitions, principles and basic rights of
volunteers as outlined by Volunteering
Australia. These are also outlined in our Volunteer Handbook on
commencement.
