Municipal Council Neighbourhood Safer Places Plan

This Plan contains a step-by-step methodology for the Municipal Emergency Management Planning Committee (MEMPC) to follow in identifying, designating, establishing, maintaining and decommissioning Place of Last Resort (formally known as Neighbourhood Safer Places) once the CFA have approved the location.

The MEMPC must consider each of the factors set out in this Plan.

It should also consider other factors which are specific to the Council’s circumstances, including the resources available to the Council.

As of 2020 the City of Greater Geelong Municipality has NO neighborhood safer places (NSF) within its boundaries
