Curls of Fancy, a sculpture by Victorian artist Roman Liebach, is made from powder coated stainless steel and is “open to interpretation”, according to the artist.

The artwork is now part of the City’s public art collection, designed to enhance streetscapes and vibrancy across central Geelong.

Roman’s work was exhibited as part of the 2016 Lorne Sculpture Biennale.

There are plans for a number of new public artworks to enhance central Geelong as part of the Revitalising Central Geelong City Arrivals Project, The Laneways Project, Green Spine and Little Malop Street Bridge project.

By incorporating art sculptures, murals and other artistic points of interest, we add to the vibrancy and creativity of central Geelong. The community’s future vision for Geelong is to become a Clever and Creative City and public art is one way we can turn this vision into reality.
