So you’re doing your bit by recycling your rigid plastics, like yogurt tubs and plastic meat trays, through your yellow lid bin. But what about your soft plastics, like plastic bags and wrappers?
The good news is your soft plastics can be recycled.
All you need to do is collect them in a plastic bag, then drop them off at the REDcycle bins at participating Coles or Woolworths supermarkets.
It’s easy and the feel good factor is through the roof!
It’s a fantastic initiative: REDcycle helps turn your soft plastics into park benches, fitness equipment, signage and outdoor furniture.
Here are some of the types of soft plastics that REDcycle accepts:
- bread bags
- biscuit packet wrappers
- pasta and rice bags
- frozen food and veggie bags
- confectionary bags
- plastic bags
- cereal box liners
