Aerosol cans that still contain product can be recycled through free Detox Your Home events, which are offered by Sustainability Victoria.

Excess aluminium cans (up to 0.5 cubic metres) can be dropped off at Drysdale or Geelong Resource Recovery Centres for free.

Place in your yellow lid recycling bin. Foil should be scraped clean and scrunched into a ball that is golf ball size or larger.

Otherwise:

If foil pieces are too small to scrunch into a golf ball sized ball, collect and put aside to scrunch together later, or for very small pieces, place inside an empty aluminium soft drink can and then place in your yellow lid recycling bin.

Aluminium pods are too small to be recycled through the kerbside system. 

Biodegradable pods cannot be placed in your green garden organics bin. Currently most are not actually biodegradable to Australian standards.
