Geelong Resource Recovery Centre and Transfer Station

The Geelong Resource Recovery Centre is a waste and recycling drop-off service for residential customers that accepts a range of items not collected in household bin recycling, such as e-waste and paint.

The free drop-off service is not intended for commercial quantities and is provided for Greater Geelong residents only.

From 1 February 2024, Geelong Resource Recovery Centre will stop accepting garden organics and construction rubble as we close part of the facility for upgrading works.

During this period, we have arranged for an alternative drop off for garden organics and construction waste at Green Care Mulching in Moolap. Comparable disposal fees apply. Drysdale Resource Recovery Centre will also continue to accept material.
Excess household plastic recycling is no longer accepted. Excess household plastic recycling can still be taken to Drysdale Resource Recovery Centre.

Operating hours: 7:30am to 4:15pm daily
