Evans Reserve is a district sporting reserve. It has a large AFL oval and hard cricket wicket. It accommodates two soccer pitches, new predominately enclosed playground with 1/4 basketball court, BBQ and picnic facilities.

The reserve is named in honour of Alan Evans, the first serviceman from the North Shore area killed in the line of duty in World War 2. Private Alan Raymond Evans served from 27 June 1940 and was killed in action on 17 May 1941 while serving for the 2/23rd Australian Infantry Battalion as one of the ‘Rats of Tobruk’ in Libya during the siege of Tobruk in World War 2. A small monument at the reserve acknowledges his sacrifice.
