Sporting reserve, community restricted park (boat ramp),  criterion track. Including the Barwon Valley Activity Centre and playground.

The Belmont Common is a large area set alongside the Barwon River for recreational pursuits. The reserve is used for passive and active recreation and features three ovals with hard wickets and cricket practice nets. The reserve has been developed for junior football and women's cricket.

This reserve has been designed for sporting clubs to hire on a casual basis and has flood lights for winter training. 

It also houses the Barwon Valley Golf Club and driving range. The reserve is diverse in uses and natural beauty along the river banks and the Jerringot Wetland area.
