Barwon Water have commenced works to upgrade the existing sewer pipeline between the Barwon River and Barwon Heads pump station on Barwon Heads Road.

This project is necessary to replace damaged pipeline, improve services and accommodate future growth in Barwon Heads, Ocean Grove and Point Lonsdale.

The first stage of the project is the installation of a temporary sewerage pipeline in Barwon Heads Village Park adjacent to Geelong Road. This temporary pipeline will ensure there is no disruption to the sewerage pipeline network while works to upgrade the existing pipeline are undertaken.

Barwon Water have advised that some disruption to the local community and users of Barwon Heads Village Park is unavoidable, however, they aim to minimise impacts to the local community as much as possible.

Barwon Water will continue to keep the community informed throughout the life of the project.  Any questions regarding the project should be directed to Eliza Knox, Community Engagement Advisor, Phone: 1300 656 007
