Sparrovale Walk and Talk - Geelong Biodiversity Month

Join our Environment team for a guided walk around a new City reserve! Hear about the past, present and future of the Sparrovale Reserve near Armstrong Creek, as well as the plants and animals that call it home.

Sparrovale is a 500 hectare reserve recently acquired by the City. The site consists mainly of farmland but also boasts a large natural wetland basin home to many waterbirds, frogs and other wildlife. A master plan will be developed to provide the vision for biodiversity conservation and public usage of the site.

Come along and learn how you can be involved!

What you need to bring:

  • walking boots
  • hat/beanie
  • raincoat (if required)
  • sunscreen
  • camera
  • binoculars
  • a sense of adventure!

RSVP online now - registrations close at 12:00pm on Friday 20 September 2019.

Note: Sparrovale is currently a working farm, so please follow all directions as advised.
