No Stopping Zone - why did I get an infringement?

No Stopping areas are in place for safety and traffic flow. It means "No stopping at all" - even for a moment, to drop off or collect a passenger, and regardless of whether you leave the engine running and stay in the car. This Road Rule is particularly important near schools.

Stopping in a No Stopping Zone is an offence, unless you are outside the times specified on the sign.
