Make memories with the family these school holidays

There’s plenty of family-friendly fun happening across Greater Geelong to keep kids and teens busy during the upcoming school holidays.

The City is proud to deliver a range of free and low-cost activities, events and exhibitions, including:

National Wool Museum

  • Slip into your animal-inspired pjs and meet nocturnal bandicoots Shazza and Razza, embark on a scavenger hunt and enjoy bedtime stories at our Wild Night Pyjama Party - 12 April, 5.00-8.00pm
  • Design and make your very own animal plushie at our one-off workshop - 8 April, 10.30am-12.30pm
  • Create a funky animal sculpture with upcycled materials at Wildlife Sculptures - 15 April, 10.30am-12.00pm (ages 4-8) and 1.30pm-3.00pm (ages 9-12)
  • See nature like never before at the world-renowned Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition – running until 18 May
  • Crack the code and unlock a bag of treats at our Easter Scavenger Hunt – 19-21 April

The Carousel

  • Unleash your inner artist and create a delightfully colourful Easter hat or basket at our drop-in sessions - 9 & 16 April, 10.30am-12.30pm

Drysdale’s Potato Shed

  • Celebrate animals of all kinds - real, imaginary, sparkly, stinky, polite and rude – at Polite Mammals variety show – 9 April, 11.00am-12.00pm

The fOrT, The Nest and Armstrong Creek East Community Hub

  • Free games, meals, excursions, FReeZA summit and first aid course, specifically for young people aged 12-25. Follow ‘Geelong Youth’ or ‘The fOrT’ on Instagram and Facebook for further information

The City has something for everyone this school holidays.

Get the diary out and explore our jam-packed program of free or low-cost activities that will entertain and delight young people of all ages.

You can interact with native creatures in your pjs, create your own Easter bonnet, solve the mystery for Easter treats and design your very own plushie.

There are a range of activities and exhibitions to keep children and teens occupied and challenged.

Our family-friendly program offers the opportunity to get crafty, learn about nature, delve into the arts and meet new people.

Places are limited so make sure to book early where required.
