Channel 9s Destination Happiness visited our Leopold Community Hub on Friday 11 October 2019 to feature our Early Childhood Educator, Michelle Travers, in their season 3 episode, which airs on 9 November 2019.
Destination Happiness serves as a resource for finding tips and tools for uplifting your life from the inside out, through gratitude, kindness, mindfulness and other relaxation methods.
Michelle has introduced learnings from the show into her daily program at the Leopold Community Hub Kindergarten.
Michelle has implemented positive psychology, gratitude, and kindness into her practice at home and school, she speaks on how it has benefited both children and staff.
Her learnings from Destination Happiness have had a positive impact on the kindergarteners as well as their grade 5 buddies from Leopold Primary School in their JellyPold program, who practice kindness with the kindergarteners, help their development in reading and writing, and ease their transition into primary school.
In addition to speaking with Michelle on her achievements and programs at the kinder, Host Angie Hilton surprised the JellyPold buddy program with a ‘Random Act of Happiness’, a special performance from the Mik Maks.
This episode of Destination Happiness will air with an extended version set to air on the Destination Happiness YouTube channel.
