2018-2019 Community Sport Infrastructure funding announced

The next round of the State Government's Community Sport Infrastructure Fund has been announced.

This is a State Government funding initiative that aims to help provide high quality, accessible community sport and recreation facilities across Victoria.

Sporting clubs with a suitable project are encouraged to apply. Clubs are required to read the funding guidelines to ensure they have an eligible project. These projects will:

  • demonstrate increases in participation as a result of the project
  • increase female and junior participation
  • have a clear project scope
  • have supporting concept plans
  • have a clear estimate of project costs; and
  • have a club capital or in-kind contribution.

What will not be funded:

  • projects that cannot meet the above criteria
  • stand alone social room upgrade projects
  • kitchen/bar stand alone upgrade projects
  • storage facility upgrades
  • replacement of like-for-like surfaces
  • facilities with little or no public access.

 

Grants categories include

Community Sport Infrastructure Fund – Minor Facilities Category

  • Maximum Amount per Grant - $100,000
  • Maximum Total Project Cost - $1,000,000
  • Funding Ratio (minimum) - 1.5 State : 1 Local

 

Community Sport Infrastructure Fund – Cricket Facilities

  • Maximum Amount per Grant - $100,000
  • Maximum Total Project Cost - No Maximum
  • Funding Ratio (minimum) - 1.5 State : 1 Local

 

Community Sport Infrastructure Fund – Female Friendly Facilities

  • Maximum Amount per Grant -  $100,000
  • Maximum Total Project Cost - No Maximum
  • Funding Ratio (minimum) - 1.5 State : 1 Local

Due to the State Government's timeframes regarding project submissions, the expression of interest period is open for a two week period only.

Expressions of interest will open Friday 7 April, 2017 and close Friday 21 April, 2017 at midnight.
