The City of Greater Geelong’s Sport and Recreation Department has hosted another successful Club Networks session this time focusing on providing financial assistance to local sporting clubs.
The sessions are held in partnership with Leisure Networks and aims to provide up to date information to assist communities non for profit groups.
More than 60 people attended Council’s Financial Management session at the Deakin Cats Community Education Centre which featured key speakers from Crowe Horwath and Harwood Andrews.
The session covered critical information for club treasurers to ensure books were managed effectively.
In attendance were members from various local sporting clubs and other non for profit community organisations.
Council’s next Club Network Session focuses on Club Governance and will be held on 17 June 2015.
