Creating a myGeelong account
You can register for a myGeelong account via the registration page.
You will need to provide:
- an email address (this will be your username)
- a password
- security questions and answers
You should then receive a system generated email to complete your registration process.
No verification email
If you have not received a verification email within 24 hours of registration, try registering again. Ensure you enter your email address correctly. Some email networks take longer to process an email than others.
Multiple myGeelong accounts
You might like to have separate accounts for your residence, business and community groups. As long as each account is listed under a different username (email address), you can have separate accounts.
Checking for an existing myGeelong account
When you register for an account, we send you an email to confirm you have registered.
Try logging in using your email address - the system will tell you if it recognises your username. If it doesn't, then you don't have an account set up.
If you’ve forgotten your password, you can request a new one.
Or you can try registering for a new account if you are unsure whether you have registered for myGeelong in the past.
Updating your details
When you're logged in to myGeelong, select profile from the drop down list next to your username (email address) in the blue navigation bar at the top of the page.
From here you can edit any of your details including changing your username (email address.)
Forgotten your password?
If you forget your password, you can reset it by going to the ‘Forgotton password’ page. You will need to know the answer to your security question.
A temporary password will be emailed to you, it is valid for 24 hours. You will be required to change this once you login.
If you forget the email you have used to set up your account, try to reset your password with what you think is your myGeelong email address.
You will be sent an email to reset your password link via email if the email address is being used for myGeelong.
