Leisurelink lifeguard Aaron Moore was named Public Training and Pool Safety Trainer of the year at a recent Life Saving Victoria awards ceremony.

The award recognised Aaron’s outstanding delivery of Life Saving Victoria public training courses including CPR and First Aid.

Aaron began training lifeguards through Life Saving Victoria in 2015 and has since risen to lead and train lifeguards throughout Greater Geelong and Melbourne.

Aaron is a lifeguard, team leader and trainer for the City. He is also a Life Saving Victoria trainer, teaching CPR, First Aid and pool lifeguard courses.

It’s another award for Leisurelink after fellow lifeguard Tanner Redden won the Aquatics and Recreation Victoria Pool Lifeguard of the Year this year after rescuing two young girls from Leisurelink in May.

Aaron also won Life Saving Victoria’s Pool Lifeguard of the Year for 2017.

Linda Quinn - Director Community Life

“Aaron demonstrates the values, behaviours and talent of our lifeguards who provide a critical role in keeping our community safe at all our leisure centres across the Geelong region.”

“He’s a highly valued member of our Leisure and Recreation Services team and in a short space of time he has also developed into a leader in the lifesaving field.

“Aaron’s passion for the aquatics industry as well as his dedication to improving his own skills and those in his team is outstanding.”
