Community Care workers assist others to live independently in the community.
Community Care workers support older community members, people with dementia, people with disabilities and their families with a range of services to remain independent.
Our staff will work with clients to support their goals, allowing clients to maintain an active and independent lifestyle.
Services can include:
- home care
- personal care
- social support and
- respite for carers.
Our Community Care workers need to have:
- CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Home and Community) or a certificate III in a relevant field as mentioned below:
- Aged
- Ageing Support
- Home and Community Care
- Disability
- Community Services
- It would be desirable to have completed the 'HLTHPS006 Assist clients with medication' module or equivalent however this not compulsory.
Our Community Care workers are also required to have:
- a current police check
- a drivers licence and access to an insured car to use for work
- a Working with Children's Check (if providing care to children under the age of 18).
