Healthy at Home goes hard copy

The City’s Healthy at Home toolkit is now available in a printed booklet for residents to find advice on how to create and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

The Healthy at Home online resource hub has been hugely popular with more than 1,200 web users and over 350 downloads of the online resources since it launched on 17 April.

Now a selection of popular resources have been transformed into a printed booklet for those who are unable to access the toolkit’s online hub.

The toolkit, both the booklet and online, contains a selection of resources including infographics about:

  • How to maintain mental health and wellbeing while working from home, coping with stress, and sleeping well;
  • Meal planning tools and healthy recipes;
  • Workouts and tips for staying active at home; and
  • Family activities and relationship advice.

The initiative is a key element in promoting healthy eating and supporting an active lifestyle as outlined in the Council Plan.

The City will also include 200 copies of the booklet in care packages being delivered to vulnerable families across the region throughout September and October.

Residents can register to be mailed the Healthy at Home toolkit by contacting Customer Service on 5272 5272.

The Healthy at Home toolkit is designed to help our community create and maintain a healthy lifestyle for themselves and their families.
Your health and wellbeing are important. A healthy sleeping pattern, mindfulness exercises, as well as at home fitness classes and recipes can help you lead a healthier lifestyle.
The inclusion of the booklet means that everyone can access this information, I recommend visiting the Healthy at Home website or calling to register for the hard copy booklet.
