Climate Change Partnership Grants support the Geelong community to achieve net zero community emissions and increase resilience to climate change impacts through a co-ordinated and collective response.

Who can apply?

  • Not-for-profits – incorporated bodies, co-operatives or associations
  • Registered charitable organisations – refer to the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission
  • Unincorporated bodies with an auspice
  • Schools and learning institutions – only if in partnership with at least one other school or not-for-profit organisation
  • For-profits – commercial entities, businesses

What can you apply for?

Climate mitigation and adaptation projects and activities that will be carried out over a period of one to two financial years.

These grants are most suitable for groups with the experience and capacity to deliver larger-scale projects with a range of stakeholders, various income sources and longer time frames.

Applicants must be willing to work in partnership with us to develop their project scope and project plans (that is: budgets, schedule of works). We may request to be involved in the project steering committee.

How much can you apply for?

There is a total grant pool of $180,000 available.

Applicants may ask for up to $50,000

  • Collate your supporting documents.
  • Answer the questions in the application form.
  • Don't forget to hit the submit button.

We recommend you click Save Progress every 10 to 15 minutes when you are filling out a form. 
If you leave your computer idle for 20 minutes without saving your work, and then return, the session duration may have ended (or been timed-out).
