Who can apply?
- Not-for-profits – incorporated bodies, co-operatives or associations
- Registered charitable organisations – refer to the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission
- Unincorporated bodies with an auspice
- Schools and learning institutions – only for activities that are not curriculum-based and the primary benefit is for the wider community
- For-profits – commercial entities, businesses
- Individual/Sole Traders (entity type with Australian Business Register)
What can you apply for?
Operating expenses to run safe, moderately sized, public events that provide economic and community benefits to the Greater Geelong region.
Examples include:
- food and wine festivals
- Christmas carols
- state or national sporting events
- moderately sized multi-cultural festivities (anticipated attendance of 300+)
How much can you apply for?
There is a total grant pool of $200,000 available for both Community Events Grants and Quick Response Grants.
Applicants may ask for up to $10,000.

- Get in touch with us - please discuss your activity with us before
applying.
Contact Events Services team on 5272 4139 as soon as possible to give us enough time to discuss your idea before the closing date.
- Collate your supporting documents.
- Answer the questions in the application form.
- Don't forget to hit the submit button.
We recommend you click Save Progress every 10 to 15 minutes when you are filling out a form.
If you leave your computer idle for 20 minutes without saving your work, and then return, the session duration may have ended (or been timed-out).
