Community Infrastructure Grants Fund

Community Infrastructure Grants aim to support funding for the planning and delivery of capital works projects within the City of Greater Geelong.

Community groups and organisations across Greater Geelong will have a chance to apply for funding under an expanded 2020-2021 Community Grants program.     

Online applications for Community Infrastructure grants closed on Monday 12 October 2020 and are currently being assessed.

Two categories are available to choose from as follows:

  1. Planning - grant amounts of up to $50,000*
    For costs associated with planning & feasibility activities for future infrastructure projects that demonstrate strong community benefit and align with key priority areas of this program.
  2. Capital Works delivery - grant amounts of up to $350,000*
    To assist with cost of ready to go community infrastructure projects. Infrastructure projects must be openly accessible to and have strong community benefits and align with the key priority areas of this program.

    Not applicable for the purchase of land.

*The city will consider funding up to two-thirds of the total project cost to the maximum grant funding offered. Applicants must match our funding with one dollar for every two dollars we grant and provide any remaining funding required.
