The Geelong Arena is regions largest multi use sports and entertainment venue hosting a wide variety of community, sport and entertainment events all year round.
Our venue houses four purpose built basketball courts, inclusive of the auditorium and international standard show-court suitable for local through to international sport competitions and events.
The auditorium's versatility with portable carpet options and tiered seating has attracted a variety of events.
Our venue has fully licensed catering facilities, plenty of parking and is situated opposite North Geelong railway station which is convenient for out of town and local visitors.
We are recognised as the regions destination for elite sport and entertainment.
The venue is also home to NBL1 Geelong Supercats.
Arena event modes
During Sustainability Victoria’s Waste Wise Program, our venue was bronze accredited.
Waste Wise was a practical, step-by-step program inspiring Victorians to minimise waste and maximise the efficient use of valuable resources. Joining Waste Wise was entirely voluntary and there were no costs involved in participation.
We are committed to participating in future programs and reducing waste in all areas of our operations.

Is there a swimming pool or Gymnasium at the Geelong Arena?
No - The Geelong Arena does not have swimming pool or gymnasium facilities. Please see our Swim Sport and Leisure venues to locate your nearest swimming pool.

What public amenities are available at the Geelong Arena?
Toilets, pay phone, café and bar facilities and ATM.
What do I do if I’ve lost something at the Arena?
Each tenant manages their own lost property all public areas are managed by the venue.
If an item is lost in the Annex during a Geelong United Basketball game such is stored in the Annex for two weeks then handed to venue management.
For all other lost property please call the Geelong Arena office during business hours on 03 5278 3092.
Can I purchase food and beverage at the Geelong Arena?
- Any valuables left are after four weeks are recorded and handed to Police.
- All clothing and other items are kept on site for four weeks after which time items are donated to local charities.
- Drink bottles are treated as rubbish and thrown out nightly if left for hygiene reasons.
Yes, the Arena Café located on ground level is open most evenings and during Geelong United Basketball domestic season and major events. Selling a large variety of hot and cold food, drinks including hot beverages. Geelong Arena supports healthy options and traffic light system.
On level two we have the function room and bar. With an overview of the auditorium, this facility is most popular for pre-event drinks and a chat.

Are there licensed bars available?
Yes. The Arena has both a sporting/cultural licence and a general licence which allows alcohol sales in almost all areas within the venue.
The Arena also support events for all ages and provides an alcohol free environment on request.
Can I bring a pram or stroller to the Arena?
Yes. Prams and strollers are welcome, please follow signs per event for storage locations which ensure aisle ways and egress is kept clear.
