Conservatory Reopens

Built in the 1960’s the Conservatory is considered to be ‘vintage’.

We recently reopened the renovated Conservatory and new landscape to the community.

You can go inside the building on weekdays from 10 am to 4 pm.

The new landscape has group seating spaces which are accessible and inclusive - with space for prams & wheelchairs.

The timber seats have a connection to the Eastern Park arboretum as they are made from timber salvaged from Sugar Gums.

For plant lovers this new space features a collection of plants suitable for hedges.  This contemporary collection makes a link to the hedge maze opened in the early 1900’s in surrounding Eastern Park.  This historic fact is little known as the maze only survived for a quarter of a century.
