If there are children in the group with additional needs please advise us at the time of booking so our staff can be prepared to ensure all students can get the best experience from their session.

Your education program teacher will meet you at the location of your lesson. This will be confirmed within you Booking Confirmation email.

Arrival time

Please arrive 15 minutes before your booked time so students can use the toilet facilities and be ready to commence on time.

Late arrivals will reduce the time of your session to enable us to honour other bookings.

First aid and safety

The visiting school is responsible for carrying its own first aid kit and relevant student medical information.  Accompanying teachers are responsible for providing first aid treatment to students.

In the event of an emergency evacuation teachers must follow the instructions of Geelong Botanic Gardens staff.

Caring for the garden

We would appreciate if you could remind students to keep off the garden beds, not pull out any plants, no climbing, ball games or bird feeding.

Educational activities will provide students with opportunities to interact with nature in a way which respects the garden.

Waste-free visits

We request that your students take their rubbish with them and consider bringing waste-free lunches.

Play

The Geelong Playspace is adjacent to the Geelong Botanic Gardens in Eastern Park and provides opportunities for free play.

You may choose to plan your day to visit the Playspace or use the adjacent picnic and BBQ facilities before or after your session at the gardens.

Feedback

We are always looking for ways to improve our programs and service.
