The Geelong Botanic Gardens offers a picturesque setting for weddings, featuring a variety of private lawn areas suitable for both intimate ceremonies and larger gatherings.

With twelve distinct locations to choose from, such as the Bunya and Walnut Lawns accommodating up to 150 guests, couples can enjoy a serene and exclusive experience, as only one event is booked at a time.

Your booking includes exclusive access to your chosen area for two hours, giving you ample time for both setup and pack-down. You're also welcome to take photos throughout our beautiful grounds, providing the perfect backdrop for truly unique and stunning shots. 

Please note: It will take 10 working days for us to process a booking for weddings and special occasions, so please allow sufficient planning time for this process.

Other special occasions

If you’re planning a small, low-impact event, the Geelong Botanic Gardens is the perfect outdoor venue. Bookings are required to use lawn spaces for groups in the Gardens.

Please ensure to submit a form 2-3 weeks prior to your special occasion to allow time for processing.

To organise a public event, you must apply for a permit through Events Geelong. The time it takes to organise will vary depending on the size and complexity of your event. Please allow for this in your planning.
