After 20 years, Stephen Sondheim’s beloved musical returns to Geelong, with all your favourite fairy tale characters entwined in a funny, moving and wildly entertaining adventure. Join Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (the one with the beanstalk) and Rapunzel as they venture into the woods to get their wish...and some unexpected consequences.
The cast features a stellar lineup of local performers including Australian Theatre royalty Chelsea Gibb (Chicago, Cabaret), James Lee (Les Miserables, Opera Australia’s My Fair Lady directed by Dame Julie Andrews) and Emma Langridge (Sam Mendes’ Cabaret). Directed by Paul Watson (Jersey Boys, We Will Rock You), music direction by Brad Treloar (Jersey Boys, Wizard of Oz) and choreographed by Vanessa Paech (Wedding Singer, Rent), this show is a must-see for all theatre-lovers.
