Join professional dance teacher, Dance/Movement Therapist and Allied Health Assistant Jessica Lesosky in this exciting new 6 week pilot program for the mature mover.
Designed to provide a gentle, structured and enjoyable dance experience, Time to Thrive will cater to all abilities. Exercises are designed to build strength and mobility, improve balance, and increase hand-eye coordination, memory and musicality. Time to Thrive will facilitate participatory and life-enhancing activities by using dance, music and rhythm.
The program will provide an outlet for connection and creativity with tea and coffee being served in the foyer after each class.
Three class levels are available:
Active & Agile over 60s | Mondays 9:30am – 11:00am
A dance focused session to increase strength, fitness and flexibility.
Active over 60+ | Mondays 11:30am - 1:00pm:
Dance for those with higher mobility needs. For those who are mobile with less agility, musculoskeletal conditions.
Dance for Dementia and Parkinson's | Wednesdays 10:30am - 12:00pm:
Catering to older adults with mobility issues and/or living with Dementia or Parkinson's.
Carers or partners are welcome to take part and support. Participants with a diagnosed medical condition should participate in accordance with their doctor’s advice.
