The Geelong 48 Hour Film Frenzy is bringing back high-energy ‘real-time’
film making to the Geelong region in
this fun 48 hour film shootout.
Taking place over the
weekend of October 11-13, 2024, film makers from around Australia will converge
on the Geelong region to create a short 4-7 minute film that must include three
crucial elements that will be revealed at the launch of the weekend event.
All ages, professional and
amateur film makers, students - both University and High-school - anyone with
an interest in film making is urged to sign-up for this exciting new event.
In the weeks leading up to
the event teams will plan their film - scope locations, write their script and
cast their actors and crews.
While much can be planned
in advance, three key criteria will be revealed on the Friday night prior to
event start.
In the weeks
following the event, a series of screenings at a local Geelong Cinema and a
premiere awards night will be held.
Celebrities
from the film industry will honour filmmakers with various awards and the
inaugural Geelong Waterfront Film - '48 Hour Film Frenzy Laurel'.
Ticketing
Multiple
prize categories will be awarded for Best Film in various categories.
