Saturday 25th November is the day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and starts the 16 Days of activism.
A launch will be held in Johnstone Park at 10.00am on the 24th November. Join us and be entertained by a single and then hear from speakers who will highlight the need for ongoing activism.
You will also see, during the 16 days, the colour Orange around the city. Orange is the designated colour chosen by the United Nations to shine a light on the continuing need to eliminate violence against women.
Yarn Bombing trees and wrapping some public art in orange in the CBD and having building and trees illuminated in orange will highlight the ongoing event.
