Geelong's BIG Play Day 2019

Geelong's BIG Play Day is a fun filled day for families with preschool children and is a highlight of National Playgroup Week 2019.

This family friendly event offers free and exciting interactive children's activities and entertainment. Come along and see the Mik Maks, Krazy Koala Puppet Show, Nicholas Ridiculous Show, Dazzling Dan The Magic Man.

Participate in storytime, nature play, recycled play, music sessions, baby play and lots of other fun activities.

The event also offers the opportunity to connect with local services for children and families.

Food and drinks available for purchase.

Please note: 
  • Geelong's BIG Play Day is a smoke, alcohol and drug free event. Smoking is prohibited anywhere within GMHBA Stadium grounds.


Some ways to contribute to the sustainability of the event include:

  • Car pooling
  • Public transport. GMHBA Stadium is a five minute walk from South Geelong Station. Visit the Public Transport Victoria website for further information on bus transport to and from the venue
  • Bring your own keep-cup for warm drink purchase and a refillable water bottle
  • Taking home your rubbish or disposing of litter thoughtfully in the bin system provided.

    Public parking is available at GMHBA Stadium. Entry is through the Kilgour Street entrance. Please follow all road and traffic detours and respect traffic officers instructions to ensure you safely arrive and exit the event.

    Pram and wheelchair access is available at the venue. Please consider leaving your pram in the car if not required. Limited pram parking will be available at the venue.
