This position works within our City Development Strategic Implementation Team and provides GIS and mapping services to Council and external stakeholders, plus planning, technical and research assistance to our Strategic Planners.
A typical day will involve preparing maps, assisting with planning scheme amendments, performing research on strategic planning issues, taking care of map sales, and preparing information for public consultation.
You have demonstrated GIS skills and experience supported by current study in, or completion of, a qualification in Town Planning, Spatial Science, Geography or related discipline. You have advanced digital literacy across a range of platforms and the ability to rapidly acquire and retain new information. You have a naturally inquisitive nature and thrive on problem solving and analytical tasks. You have a keen interest in strategic town planning and are willing to help out on a range of planning and mapping projects to extend your experience and assist your team.

This is part-time position working approximately 40 hours per fortnight.
