Working for Victoria job opportunities

To help those who have lost their jobs or have been unable to gain regular work for a long period of time, the Victorian Government has created the Working For Victoria fund.

The City of Greater Geelong has secured the chance to offer full-time and part-time positions under this initiative.

There is a range of indoor and outdoor roles available across a variety of areas for a fixed term of six months.

Residents are eligible to participate in the program if they are legally able to work in Victoria and are either unemployed or experiencing a significant reduction in their income.

To apply for roles, register on the Working for Victoria website.

When you apply...

You will need to:

  • set up a profile
  • select types of work you're interested in
  • state your availability
  • add your preferred locality.

Jobs that match your profile will be sent to you through the Working for Victoria online platform as new jobs become available. You can then choose to ‘pass’ or ‘apply’.

Support is available

Jobseekers can access a computer and receive support in registering for Working for Victoria roles at our Leisuretime Sports Precinct and the fOrT Youth Centre.

All visitors will be required to wear a face covering and follow COVID-19 safety protocols.

  • explain how to complete the online form
  • provide an understanding of how you will be notified of roles.

Our staff can't:

  • fill in the form
