We ring the large bells at St Paul's, Geelong. We maintain a local history and tradition. The eight bells were installed in 1866. We need 8 people to ring all 8 bells.
There is no requirement to be a member of the congregation, but you are expected to ring for Sunday services, at least monthly.
You will receive training in how to control a bell safely. After the initial period of training you will join our friendly group for Monday evening practices.
Bellringers usually enjoy at least one of the following:
* The sound of bells
* A physical and mental challenge
* Maintaining a traditional skill
* Controlling some seriously heavy metal
* Teamwork
* Mathematical patterns
* Service to a church or the general community
* Worldwide friendship network
* Being part of a cross-generational activity
* Ringing a musical instrument you can climb inside
