Yes - At the Lounge, we offer a range of volunteer opportunities to help support the international student community in Geelong. Volunteers can contribute in several ways:
Lounge Ambassador Program: As an ambassador, you'll take on a variety of tasks, including event planning, community outreach, and representing the Lounge at local events. You'll rotate through different teams such as social media, event coordination, and special projects to gain diverse experiences.
General Volunteers: These volunteers provide day-to-day support at the Lounge, helping with tasks like setting up events, providing assistance during workshops, and supporting ongoing programs. You'll also help with event-specific support, including organizing and promoting events and assisting in the distribution of resources like free groceries and food.
Volunteering with the Lounge not only allows you to make a positive impact on the international student community, but also offers opportunities for personal growth, professional development, and networking. Ambassadors, in particular, will receive free training and gain valuable experience to boost their CVs. |
