To provide an opportunity for residents in Drysdale, Clifton Springs, Curlewis and surrounding areas (“the community”) to engage in gardening and horticulture.

To conduct and manage a Community Garden for the benefit of members and of the community, as far as practicable in a sustainable manner which acknowledges the need to nurture and protect the natural environment.

To promote knowledge of and education about gardening and horticulture in the community.

To provide a social setting conducive to the health welfare and enjoyment of members and of the community.

To provide a safe, inclusive and non-discriminatory environment for all participants in the activities of the Community Garden.

To cooperate and/or affiliate with other organisations whose purposes are consistent with these purposes.

We provide produce on a weekly basis to help support the local community Foodbank at the Drysdale Community Church.

Membership is $40 per annum. Plot fee is $25 per annum.

Additional information: We meet weekly for gardening, maintenance and a morning tea and chat. We provide members with social activities to connect at the garden in the shed or around the firepit and at other venues. A monthly newsletter is sent out to all members and there are opportunities to lease a plot as well as support us in maintaining the community garden beds for our weekly Foodbank harvests. Members share their gardening knowledge and skills in a non-judgmental and inclusive way. We also have opportunities for Friends of the Garden to volunteer.
