Swordcraft is Australia's largest medieval battle game and live action roleplay event. Launched in 2021, Swordcraft Geelong is one of the newest Victorian chapters of Swordcraft.
At
Swordcraft, we fight with authentic-looking foam weapons and real steel
armour, chain maille, leather, and high quality costumes. We draw our
inspiration from the medieval and renaissance grimdark fantasy of
Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay and Battle.
The game
runs weekly on a Wednesday evening, with intermittent other events. The
Geelong chapter is a flourishing local larping community, attracting a
broad variety of new players and established veterans, locals and
travellers from afar.
Our game
is set in the small town of Handelsdorf, where a ragtag bunch of
warriors, monster hunters, mercenaries, merchants, pirates, elves,
dwarves and more find themselves at home; much to the hope and dismay of
the local peasants. The town lore reveals itself through roleplay and
live on the battlefield, as each warband strives to make their mark.

Swordcraft Geelong
eagerly encourages new players and is happy to provide loaner swords
and shields at no cost, as well as free first-game tickets. New players
are recommended to wear comfortable sporty clothing and sturdy footwear
in plain neutral colours, avoiding prints and logos.

To play at each event requires a ticket for the event and a membership for insurance purposes.
Memberships: All players required to maintain a membership (free for a month trial, and then $36 for the year, July-June), which covers all Swordcraft chapters. This is managed through Trybooking
