Waurn Ponds Deakin Combined Probus Club Inc

Probus is a Community Service Activity of Rotary Clubs, and all Probus Groups are formed by Rotary Clubs, but once started, are autonomous.

Membership is open to all retired or semi-retired people, irrespective of their previous vocation, to join.

The basic purpose of joining a Probus Club is to advance intellectual and cultural interests amongst adult persons; to provide regular opportunities to progress healthy minds and active bodies, through social interaction and activities, expand interests and enjoy the fellowship of new friends. We exist primarily to provide the opportunity for extension of acquaintances and interests through friendship, fellowship and fun.

Apart from our Monthly General Meetings which include guest speakers, or Special Interest Days, we conduct the following regular Group Activities:

  • Book Group
  • Craft Group
  • Day Trips Group
  • Dine Out Group
  • Garden Group
  • Getaway and Caravan Group
  • Morning Coffee and Chat Group
  • Out and About Group
  • Travel and Tours Group
  • Walking Group
  • Writing Group
