Armstrong Creek East Children's Centre

At Armstrong Creek East Children’s Centre, our practice is driven by the belief that early childhood should be an exciting adventure, full of wonder, imagination, and open-ended play.

We take pride in providing a warm and friendly environment where children and families feel welcome. We strongly believe in developing a sense of community within the pre-school and building trusting and collaborative partnerships with families. We value the involvement of parents and believe a close relationship between home and pre-school instills in children a sense of security and belonging. The social and emotional wellbeing of every child is paramount.

Children’s interests, capabilities and learning styles are at the forefront of the thoughtful planning and resourcing that underpin our programs. We respect, nurture and celebrate the individual differences of every child and support their development within an inclusive learning environment.

We know children to be capable, inquisitive and creative and believe in acknowledging them as agents of their own learning. Through the provision of unique spaces, resources and programs that encourage and support social interaction, children learn how to inquire, negotiate, take risks and express themselves.

The pre-school’s physical location allows us to engage in rich learning opportunities that connect the children to their natural environment, and their close-knit, nurturing neighbourhood.

Our educators share with parents, the excitement and responsibility of making pre- school a successful experience for everyone. They are committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice so that the best possible outcomes for each and every child are achieved.
