Lara
United Football Club (LUFC) is a community based football club, based in
the north region of Geelong.
The club
was formed 24 years ago under the Lara Sporting Club incorporated body and
in 2015 Lara United was formed after a special annual general meeting with
members. Members voted to become their own incorporated body and pursue
growing their own football club.
LUFC has
grown from strength to strength since, increasing player participation for both
males and females and increasing its social membership base. The club
has formed a relationship with Leisure Networks to enhance the
exposure of all abilities soccer in the region and is growing the sport in all
facets of the community.
The
majority of our members are local to the region and have grown up playing
football at Lara. We have a generally even balance of males and
females playing football at Lara United.
