Orchestra Geelong Inc

Orchestra Geelong Inc comprises amateur and professional musicians from the Geelong region. The Orchestra, formerly known as the Geelong Community Orchestra, was established in 1983 and consists of a 45-piece community based orchestra which presents an annual Concert Series in Geelong, adding to the cultural life of the district.

The orchestra performs a series of three concerts each, as well as a free concert during Senior's Week.

Orchestra Geelong has also been regular guests at St Mary's Basilica Windfire festival. 

A diverse range of music is presented in each concert, featuring the region's finest vocal and instrumental soloists as well as combining with other musical groups to present major choral and orchestral works.

The orchestra regularly showcases the talent of the region's young musicians.

Eligibility: If you play an orchestral instrument to approximately Grade 5 AMEB standard or above, you are very welcome to visit our website to complete an application form.
Waiting list: Yes - Vacancies exist for violins. Other instruments may vary.

Additional information: Annual Fee is $120, or $40 per concert. Annual concession fee (Seniors, Pensioners and Health Care Card Holders) $80. Annual student concession is $50 and annual associate member fee $25.
