Anakie Community Garden

The community garden will be used as a community space where people will have the opportunity to grow fresh food and propagate plants for their own garden; a place to share stories and make new friends.

The garden will provide opportunities to integrate artistic elements into the space, showcase a number of different garden bed systems for growing vegetables and incorporating fruit bearing trees and shrubs.

The Anakie Community Garden was established in 2011. The garden has 21 wicking beds for community members to use.

A greenhouse and hardening off area was established in 1999 by the Anakie Tree Group and is being used by the Community Garden and Friends of Brisbane Ranges for the propagation of vegetables, garden plants and indigenous plants of the Brisbane Ranges National Park.

This facility is free to use by garden members.
