Grovedale West Primary School is the neighborhood school for primary aged students in the Waurn Ponds, Grovedale and surrounding areas. Students attending the school are provided with a comprehensive educational program including Science, the Arts, Sport and Italian.
The school has been recognized through State awards for its excellent Early Years Learning Centre and Science program. The P-12 Geelong Deaf Facility is hosted by Grovedale West Primary School along with the neighboring Grovedale College catering for students from across the broader Geelong community.
Grovedale West Primary School enables primary aged deaf and hard of hearing students to be educated and supported in a mainstream learning environment with their peers.
The school provides a Kinderlinks program throughout the year inviting Kinder aged students from community Kindergartens to attend engaging school based sessions with their parents, supporting their transition to school.
The school's sporting resources and grounds are used by the broader community for Karate, Auskick, Cricket, Netball and Basketball. Grovedale West Primary School enjoys a strong relationship with Grovedale Kindergarten who shares the schools excellent library, gym facilities and school grounds.
