Vision Australia is the leading provider of blindness and low vision services in Australia. It supports thousands of people who are blind or have low vision, of all ages, in the home, school or work so they can live the life they choose.
For children who are blind or have low vision, specialist staff, the child and family work together in their environment to facilitate the transition into mainstream pre-school/kinder, primary school, high school, further education and onto employment.
Those who have an eye condition causing low vision or blindness, and require more support, can access a full suite of the organisation’s services, and will be able to choose services to suit their own life stage.
Services include help with finding a job, grants to help with tertiary studies, recreation programs, skills to continue living independently, access to alternative formats of books through its library, telephone programs to connect with others, computer training as well as career support programs.
These services, plus many more, are all designed to support people who are blind or have low vision to live confidently and independently.
Together, we can help you to achieve your goals, aspirations, and bucket-list items.
