Community hall or hub booking enquiry form


Please complete the form below to enquire about availability of a community hall or hub within the City of Greater Geelong for your function.

This form will enable you to enquire about multiple bookings and dates (see instructions below). 

Please note:

  • For major events at the Geelong West Town Hall, we require two weeks' notice prior to the event.
  • For all other events and locations, we require one week.

Booking times must include the set up prior to your event starting, and the clean up time after your event has finished.

 
Special conditions apply for 18th birthday parties - please refer to limit of hiring in our conditions of hire.
 
 

Your details

Public liability insurance

You must maintain public liability insurance (PLI) for the use of the premises for cover of not less than $20 million, for Death or Personal Injury, Loss or Damage to Property. Policy must be current and in same name as the hirer.

 
You must agree to rely on the community public liability insurance policy for your booking request to be considered.

Please note:

By agreeing to rely on the community public liability insurance policy, you:

  • acknowledge that the City cannot advise on whether this insurance policy is suitable for your booking.
  • have considered the suitability of the policy for yourself and will seek qualified financial advice if you have any questions.
  • agree to pay the City an administration fee of $25 per hire covered by this insurance policy.
 

 

Booking conditions

Please read the Conditions of Venue Hire.

  • You acknowledge that you are bound by the venue hire conditions including any applicable State Government guidelines and pandemic orders
  • You are fully aware of and accept the conditions, indemnities and other authorities and requirements
  • You are aware that the conditions of hire may affect your legal rights and may affect your insurance requirement.
  • By  agreeing to these terms and conditions or hiring the venue, you confirm that you will not use the venue as a place to spread hate, use speech to incite violence or hatred, or to threaten community cohesion, health and public safety, and if such action is, in the City’s view, a likely outcome of your hire of the venue, the City may in its sole and absolute discretion cancel the booking.
