Accord to End Violence Against Women

According to data from VicHealth intimate partner violence is the most common cause of death and disability for Victorian women aged 15-44. 57% of women will experience physical or sexual violence in their lifetime.

This Accord to End Violence Against Women is based on a model developed by the City of Knox and adopted by The City of Greater Geelong in conjunction with G21 and its partners.

We want you to:

  • Read the accord information.
  • If you are as passionate as we are about eliminating violence against women please sign the online accord.
  • Help us to spread the word, send to your collegues, networks, friends.
  • Go to the White Ribbon website and join our Mayor and CEO in becoming White Ribbon Ambassadors.
  • Support events that occur in our community every year in the Month of Action which happens from the end October until the 25 November.
