About Rowan Story

Describe yourself

I live in Wallington and am a member of the Bellarine Unit of the State Emergency Service. I am a retired oral and maxillofacial surgeon and Royal Australian Air Force officer. I teach law and ethics to healthcare students.

Why did you run for council?

I ran for Council because there was only one person running in my ward, Murradoc, and I believe that democracy does better with a contest of ideas.

Top three areas of focus during your term

  1. Financial constraint.
  2. Balance progress with preservation.
  3. Maintain the unique character of the Bellarine.

What does a ‘clever and creative’ Geelong region mean to you?

A clever and creative Geelong region will be a place where all people can flourish to their full extent.

Favourite thing about Greater Geelong?

The diversity of its people and its places.
